What can I do with the Fiat Transfers API?
The Fiat Transfers API moves USD onto and off the Paxos platform. The public API documentation describes Wire (Fedwire or SWIFT) and CUBIX workflows. For eligible clients on enabled bank integrations, fiat movement may also use RTP, FedNow, or same-bank book (intrabank) transfers. Rail availability depends on the bank, transfer direction, account setup, and client integration; not every rail is available for every customer or for both deposits and withdrawals. Use the deposit instructions endpoints to receive funds, and create a Fiat Account plus a withdrawal request to send funds to an external bank account where supported. You can fund a corporate account or, in supported end-user integrations, move funds for users. The required identity and account information depends on your integration type. Third-party bank-account ownership is not a blanket guarantee. Name-matching controls, approved exceptions, and applicable compliance requirements may apply. Confirm that your use case and account arrangement are supported before initiating a transfer. How do I get the Identity ID required in requests?
You do not need to provide anidentity_id in every Fiat Transfers request. It is required for third-party integrations initiating transfers on behalf of end users. For those flows, use the Identity API to create or manage an end-user identity, and provide the required identity_id and account_id for the relevant endpoint. Whether your integration needs end-user identities depends on its setup. For corporate-account identity details, contact Paxos.
